Terms & Conditions

The following are the terms and conditions that apply to orders placed with Cabbage and Curtainrail. 


All goods supplied by Cabbage and Curtainrail are supplied on the condition that our liability for any fault or defect in the quality, condition, description or fitness for any purpose is to a sum not exceeding the purchase price of the particular goods. 

Prices are subject to change. We will be pleased to quote the current price immediately prior to an order being placed.

We reserve the right to withdraw items from our range at any time without prior notification.

For exact colour or finish matching please request a stock cutting as colours and finishes can vary from batch to batch.

When placing an order, the measurements of windows and doors taken by the customer and provided to Cabbage and Curtainrail is not the responsibility of Cabbage and Curtainrail for accuracy.  For curtains and blinds, as measurements have been taken by the buyer then it is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that correct measurements are given when placing order. All measurements and instructions for curtains and blinds will require the signature of the purchaser prior to the order commencing.

Payment in full is required for all curtains and blinds prior to confirming order. Payment in full for all orders is required before goods are cut and despatched. Once full payment is received and goods are despatched they become the property of the buyer.

Delivery dates supplied are estimates. We are not liable for the consequence of any delay. We will make every effort to keep you informed of any delays. Any delay of part of an order against an estimated delivery date does not entitle the buyer to cancel the order.

Whilst every effort will be made to accept the cancellation this can only happen if cancellation is made prior to any cutting of fabric. If cutting or production has begun then a 50% deposit will be kept. 

For bespoke products, cancellation is not possible if the product has already gone into production. 

Cancellations should be made in writing.

Returns cannot be accepted unless by prior agreement. All faults or damages must be reported within 7 days of receipt of delivery.

Customers should check all deliveries immediately for shortages, faults, damages or incorrect products. The buyer must inform Cabbage and Curtainrail in writing, within 7 days of the date of delivery.

It is a characteristic of natural textiles that there will be variations in the weave, colour and texture including occasional slubs and To ensure exact colour matching it is advised to order quantities required for future use at one time. The sample you order may come from a different batch to the material you receive. The natural fabric is produced from flax fibres with beautiful rich texture.  


We cannot accept cancellation of orders or refunds on fabric if it has already been despatched or cut. For cushions we can accept an email to cancel or change an order provided it hasn’t been despatched.  

Fabric Care and Cleaning

Our fabric is Linen Union printed in the UK, and as is the nature of linen, there can be slight variations in colour batches and there is likely to be slight abnormalities such as slubs in the fabric, which is a natural occurance in linen.   As such, claims for irregularities will not be accepted under any circumstances. The main disadvantage of linen and linen union is that they are easily creased and needs to be handled with care during the making of curtains and blinds.

We would suggest the linen is dry cleaned, but it can be washed at 30 degrees, bearing in mind there will be shrinkage of 11% and the design will fade with continual washing. It is best to order what you need in the same batch.


Because our linen is a natural product it does mean that it is prone to fading even when not in direct sunlight, we can take no responsibility for this. We recommend using suitable lining for curtains and blinds to reduce the likelihood of fading.
